December 8th

Having mastered the 3 R's of learning, we will begin the 3 I's. I'm referring to iPhoto, iMovie and the rest of iLife, including Garage Band. Garage Band will mesh with Podcasting, so that training will happen after break.
For today, we begin with iPhoto because everyone, that's EVERYONE is dealing with photos and using them in teaching, sharing field trip photos or documenting classroom activities.
Teresa has created handouts for all these I's so, if you need directions, please borrow and return when done.

November 7th- Google Docs and More

Blogging isn't for everyone. We will continue looking at Web 2.0 tools by using Google Docs. Prior to class, please take the survey linked on the CMS Media website. If you want to, watch the CommonCraft Google Doc movie that is on the Google Doc page. We will discuss other tools and strategies as we have time.

October 15 PLG

Blogging- define and rationalize for class use. We have examples right here at Century of how folks are using classroom blogs. There will be some work time followed by learning one more Web 2.0 tool yet to be determined.

Sept 17th Session

Today we will discover PhotoBooth. We'll take a few pictures and discuss ways to use this tool in your classroom. Homework for next time (October early-release) is to respond (by blogging) your goal for the year along with your essential learning in media/technology.

Here we are! The first day of our PLG group... August 26th.
Teresa and I are wondering where our learning will take us this year. The Internet is a vast uncharted web of information... what will we discover together?
